Emails
Which emails we send and when, and which ones you can turn off in Settings.
We email you at the moments that matter for your reservation. Some emails are always sent; the reminders can be turned off.
Always sent
These are about your account or your money, so they can't be turned off:

The confirmation also reminds you that reservations can't be cancelled.

Change them in Settings › Email preferences in your dashboard. Unsubscribe from all turns off every email in this table at once; emails in the first table are still sent. Every reminder also has a link to your preferences at the bottom.
We recommend keeping Ending soon on: everything on the machine is erased at the end of your reservation, with no backups, and the email is the last reminder to copy your results off.
What the reminders contain
- The pre-start reminder has your account email and the name and public key of the SSH key you'll connect with, as
renter— worth a glance, so you can switch computers in time if that key lives elsewhere. - The reservation live email has the SSH command for your machine's own port, for example
ssh -p 2211 renter@ssh.gputorent.com, and the time it ends. For a Mac Studio it also has the remote desktop steps, and if you added a startup script, it reminds you that its output goes to~/startup.log. The machine restarts once at the start and is usually ready within a few minutes; your dashboard shows Preparing your machine… until it is, and has the same commands. - The ending soon email has the exact end time in UTC, and reminds you that everything on the machine is erased at the end.
Not getting emails?
- Check your spam or junk folder, and add our sending address to your contacts.
- Check Settings › Email preferences in case a reminder is turned off.
- Your dashboard always has the same information: the reservation's stage, times and, while it's live, the SSH command with your port.
